Years ago, my husband and I decided to take our first significant vacation since our honeymoon. We worked with a travel agent we found on the internet. While she was experienced and knowledgeable about the travel product itself, she did not create an experience for us, she just booked our trip. We came back from that trip with the “we should have done this” memories. I then realized we weren’t looking for trips, but vacation experiences.
A few years later we planned another big vacation and again chose to work with a travel agent. We had a completely different experience! She spent time sharing information about the destination, our options, and encouraged me to do my own research and learn. I spent countless hours researching for activities and options that would enhance our vacation. A travel agent was born!
